Is makeup putting a strain on natural selection?
Blusher and lipstick are worn because a rosy color, especially in cheeks, is subconsciously taken as a sign of good health by men, and healthy women mean healthy babies. So isn't makeup technically "feigning" healthiness and keeping the unhealthy women reproducing?
Unhealthy people reproduce anyway. People with bad appendices, bad teeth, poor sight, diabetes, or just not very bright.
Humans aren't being naturally selected much any more.
